Alliston Herald • Simcoe.com • July 1, 2017 – A developer with plans to build homes in New Tecumseth has delivered the first instalment of its $50,000 pledge to support Stevenson Memorial Hospital’s transformation campaign.
Staff from Flato Developments Inc. met with hospital president and CEO Jody Levac and members of the hospital foundation board June 28 to deliver the donation.
“I’m glad that we can support the community by contributing to the work the hospital does every day; saving lives and bringing new life into the world,” Flato president Shakir Rehmatullah said in a statement. “The community is growing and I’m glad Stevenson Memorial Hospital is finally able to grow as well.”
The campaign is a multi-year, $8-million initiative that will serve as the first step toward raising the funds needed to redevelop the hospital, built in 1964, in to a modern facility.
